The configured attributes.
State persists across postbacks within an editing session. The framework deserializes
the bag from a hidden field in
OnInit (after
EnsureChildControls, before
base.OnInit) and reserializes it in
SaveViewState, so reads and writes
from any handler — including
Page_Init — see and persist values across the
request lifecycle. Persistence added 2026-05-03; previously the bag was reset to empty
on every postback and class-typed values had to be cached manually.
